Shengxie, “Overcoming Evil,” is one of the five swords that Ouyezi forged for the King of Yue, its name promising that right metal will put wrong spirits to flight. Paired with Zhanlu, Chunjun, Yuchang and Juque, it makes up the canonical set of the earliest Chinese sword legends.
