Luminous pearl brought by a serpent to thank Marquis Sui for healing its wound, peer of the He jade.

The Pearl of the Marquis of Sui was a gift of gratitude: when the marquis healed a wounded serpent, the serpent returned bearing a luminous pearl. Said to shine at night like the moon, the pearl was treasured beside the jade of He Shi, and the pair became the standard phrase for the rarest treasures on earth.
