The Apricot-Yellow Banner is the central Earth banner that the Primordial Heavenly Worthy gave to Jiang Ziya in the Fengshen Yanyi. Together with the blue lotus, white cloud and flame banners it forms the four great standards of the celestial hosts; unfurled, it shields its bearer from treasures and summons the immortals to council. On the canonization battlefield it is the visible symbol of the mandate itself.
