One of the King of Yue’s eight blades whose radiance was said to dim the sun.

Yanri, “Veiling the Sun,” is the first of the eight blades said to have been forged for the King of Yue. Its light was so strong that, drawn at dawn, it could hide the sun itself. The eight swords of Yue — with names like “Cutting Water” and “Soul-Turning” — form the vocabulary of every later tale of magic blades.
