Bells of Fire and Smoke

Three gold bells of Guanyin that release fire, smoke and sand when shaken.

The Purple-Gold Bells are the three bells Guanyin hangs on the neck of her beast, the golden-haired hou. Each bell holds a power: the first lets out fire, the second smoke, the third sand; shaken together they bury an army in flame and dust. When the beast steals them to the lower world, Wukong must trick the bells away one by one.
