Lord of Wind

Wind god with a deer body, sparrow head and serpent tail, who unleashed storms against Huangdi.

Feilian is the Earl of Wind, pictured in different texts with a deer’s body, a sparrow’s head, a serpent’s tail and leopard markings, able to summon gales at will. In the battle against Chi You he was asked to loose the storms that Nüba later stilled. His name also belongs to a minister of the Shang king Zhou, blending weather god and royal servant in the old records.
