Taiyi Zhenren, the True Man of Grand Unity, is the master of Nezha and one of the Chan sect’s most indulgent teachers. When his disciple gives his flesh and bones back to his parents, Taiyi gathers lotus and reed, models a new body and breathes life into it; he then equips the reborn boy with fire wheels, a spear and a ring. His love for his disciple knows no limit — even the rules of heaven bend before it.
