The All-Knowing Beast

A wise beast able to speak and know every spirit in the world; the Yellow Emperor is said to have recorded its knowledge as the Baize Charts.

Baize is the omniscient beast of legend. When the Yellow Emperor hunted by the eastern sea, Baize appeared, able to speak and versed in all creation. It recounted every kind of ghost and spirit — 11,520 in all — which the Emperor ordered to be recorded in the Baize Charts, later used to ward off evil.
