Bo is the horse-like beast of Zhongqu Mountain, white of body with a black tail, one horn and tiger’s claws, roaring like a drum. Unlike the gentle beasts of the southern hills, Bo feeds on tigers and leopards, a horse that out-hunts the hunters of the forest.
