Si

One-Horned Bull

Black one-horned bull of ancient texts, source of the rhino-horn drinking vessel.

The si is the one-horned dark ox of ancient texts, kin to the rhinoceros, dwelling in the southern wilds near Shun’s grave. Its single horn was prized for drinking vessels, and the phrase “tiger and si escaping the cage” became a warning that danger left unguarded will harm the people.
