The Chisel-Toothed Monster

Man with chisel-like teeth slain by Houyi at Chouhua in the age of Yao.

Zaochi is one of the terrors of the age of Yao, a being whose teeth grow like chisels to a length of five or six feet. The archer Houyi slew him in the wilds of Chouhua as part of the great campaign that also shot down the suns — a roll call of monsters ended by one hero’s bow.
