After King Wu conquers Shang, Jiang Ziya enshrines the fallen as deities from the Canonization Terrace.

After leading the Zhou armies through the Ten Extinction, Zhuxian and Ten Thousand Immortals formations, Jiang Ziya receives the reward of his long service: at the Canonization Terrace on Mount Qi he opens the list and appoints the fallen — loyal Zhou generals and Jie sect immortals alike — to their celestial offices. The Fengshen Yanyi ends with heaven itself reorganized, and every god in the Chinese pantheon given a name and a duty.
