A young Li hunter chases a golden deer from the deep forest to the very shore of the southern sea. With no way left, the deer turns and looks back — and becomes a beautiful girl who asks why he has hunted her so far. They marry by the sea, and the place where she turned is called Luhuitou, the Deer Turning Back — the name of Sanya’s loveliest bay.
