At her triennial feast of immortality peaches, uninvited Sun Wukong steals and causes havoc in heaven.

The Queen Mother of the West keeps an orchard of flat peaches that ripen once every three thousand, six thousand and nine thousand years, granting longevity to those who eat them. On the third day of the third month she holds the Peach Banquet, to which all the immortals are invited. When the newly titled Great Sage Sun Wukong learns he is not on the guest list, he eats the peaches, drains the wine and steals the elixir — and heaven’s greatest feast becomes the occasion of its greatest rebellion.
